Dumpling Festival

Dragon Boat Festival or the Dumpling Festival (known as Duan Wu Jie), which is one of the Chinese traditional festival.

Rice Dumplings ( Zongzi ), Dragon Boat Festival

Everyone will be celebrate Dragon Boat Festival with the Rice Dumplings (also known as Zongzi), because of commemorating the Qu Yuan, who is a Chinese poet from the ancient state of Chu.
Rice dumplings are wrapped with the bamboo leaves and variety of the fillings, like salted pork, salted duck egg, chestnuts, peanuts, mushrooms, chicken, red bean and so on. After wrap the rice dumplings, it needs put to steamed around 2 to 3 hours based on fillings inside the rice dumplings.

Jianshui Zong, Dragon Boat Festival

Jianshui Zong (碱水粽) is one of type rice dumplings, which is yellow colour and without fillings. We are often eat Jianshui Zong with sugar or kaya.
