University Items Needed
For Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) New Students, what should you bring to university? Here some example checklist of stuff to take to university:
1. Clothing
All students should obey Dress Code rules by UUM, there are Formal Wear and Casual Wear for campus and DPP.
Formal wear (Men) Slack / Pants, Long Sleeve Shirt, Tie / Belt, Leather Shoes / Socks
Formal wear (Women) Pants / Skirts (must be longer than the knee), Blouse / Baju Kurung / Jacket (library and lecture hall are cold), Hairpin, High Heels / Pumps Shoes / Stockings
Casual wear (Men / Women) Pants / Shorts (for DPP area), Collar T-Shirt / Baju Kurung, Sandals / Slippers
Co-Curricular Activities Track Bottom, White Collar T-Shirt / Swimwear (for swimming use), White Sport Shoes
2. Food
Students are allow bring food go to university, like bread, biscuit, instant noodle, instant drink, etc. (cannot bring non-halal food)
Actually, each student residential hall (DPP) has a cafeteria. They are provide Malay food, Chinese food, Indian food, Western food, etc. Also, each DPP has provide RO water supply (RM 0.10 - 500ml water)

3. Accommodation
All students have been arranged to stay in the student residential hall (DPP) which are provided by the UUM (3 to 4 years)
In the DPP, the room checklist detail are list down as following:

Appliances Extension Socket, Electric Kettle, Irons, Hair Dryers and other small appliances (large appliances can be accepted)

NOTE:
For students who are far away from UUM, you can buy daily necessities at Campus Shop, Changlun, Jitra, and Alor Setar. (because difficult take bus with too many item needed)
4. Transportation
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has provide bus services to all students (payment of fees included the bus fare)
Students are allow bring your own transport, please go to your DPP office for enquiries.
If students driving in campus secretly and illegally, will take disciplinary action - penalty RM30 / RM50.
